My Story – One Step, One Victory

Since you’re reading this, then you’re looking to learn who the heck is Rob Cornett and why this RobCornett.com, AND why have I said my own name 4x, it’s not necessarily ego lol. So let’s dive in.

My name is Rob Cornett and this is my blog.

I’ve faced my fair share of challenges over the years, but I’m proud to say that I’ve never let them hold me back. One of the biggest obstacles I’ve had to overcome was a spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed from the neck down, after a car accident when I was just 16 years old. Despite this setback, I was determined to live a full and successful life.

With the help and love of family and friends, I was able to push through and achieve some incredible things. I completed college twice, learned how to drive with a left-foot gas pedal and a spinner knob, joined a fraternity, got married for worse, had a daughter, got divorced, found faith, started my first career, traveled, got married for better…

instantly acquired another daughter, a son, a grandson, 2 fur babies, then my beautiful wife and I had a son together, .. to be continued. Along the way, I’ve done a lot of exploring and pushing boundaries. I’ve had my share of ups and downs, wins…and lessons learned.

My mission and vision are simple: I believe everyone deserves the chance to live their best life, no matter their challenges. I want to empower and inspire others to overcome their obstacles and achieve their dreams.

When it comes to my core values, I believe in respect, inclusion, and honesty. I believe it’s important to treat others the way you want to be treated and always do the right thing, even when it’s not the easiest option. I also believe in the power of hard work and perseverance. Success doesn’t just happen on its own or overnight – it takes consistent effort and dedication.

I swear by a few key ideals that have helped me throughout my journey. First and foremost, I believe positivity is powerful. A positive attitude can make all the difference in the world. I also believe in the importance of community – surrounding yourself with supportive people who have your back is key. And finally, I believe in learning from failure. Mistakes happen, but it’s how you handle them and use them to grow that really matters.

One of the challenges I want to help solve is related to empowering others with disabilities to live their best lives. Having experienced a spinal cord injury, I know firsthand the challenges that come with living with a disability. And, I also know that it’s possible to overcome those challenges and create a life that you love. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others do the same.

Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about me and my journey. I hope you keep pushing forward and never give up on your dreams!
